Oct. 8, 1895 – To General Superior Sr. M. Edward, Kingston ON from Mr. Leahy, Moose Creek, Ont.

Moose Creek, Ontario
Oct. 8, 1895
Sister Mary Edward,
Sup. Of House of Providence
Dear Reverend Mother
The man who went for me to Avonmore to bring Mrs. McGee’s remains to Moose Creek told me the amount prepaid by you was $7.80. Although you have not charged me for it, yet I do not think I ought to let you pay for an extra outlay in connection with the poor that are under your care; so you will please find enclosed the sum of $8.00 and accept my thanks for letting me know of Mrs. McGee’s death in time. I had no trouble in getting her here.
Hoping for a share in your prayers I remain your humble servant
M.J. Leahy, Pt.
