Very dear Sisters,

As the march of time is fast bringing us to the close of our term of Office, we deem it well to remind you that the General Elections will take place this year a little in advance of the time prescribed by Our Holy Rule.

Our Annual Retreat will be held early in July and the Elections will be either the day preceeding or the day after its close, and in anticipation of this important event we bespeak unusual fervor on the part of our dearly beloved Sisters, and special prayers for the success of the Elections.

You understand the grave responsibility which devolves on the members of the Chapter and the necessity they are under of giving good government to the Community: beg of the Holy Spirit therefore to enlighten them in their choice of a Superior General and Officers. Let the Superior be careful to have offered the prayers which the Rule prescribes for this intention, and let each Sister direct her actions to the same end, viz. a wise and prudent election.

Tendering to you all, our sincere affection and sympathy in the arduous duties of your daily life in God’s Service. We remain Very dear Sisters at the feet of Mary Our Mother

Yours Devotedly
Sister Mary Edward, Sup. Gen.
