July 11, 1894 – To Mr. White, Separate Schools Inspector, Toronto ON from General Superior Sr. M. Edward, Kingston ON

House of Providence, Kingston

J.F. White, Inspector,
Separate Schools,
683 Spadina Ave.
Toronto, Ont.
My dear Sir:

Your letter reached me yesterday and I see by it that there has been a little mixing of things, but I hope they will adjust themselves. I received a letter on Saturday from Mr. Suddaby, and I presumed that you were aware of his addressing me, and as it was the only application I accepted his offer.

He is highly recommended by Rev. Father Spetz of St. Joseph’s College, Berlin and I hope he is one who will meet your approval. I telegraphed him last night not to come until the 21st. inst. so that will give Mr. Houston all the time he can spare to us.

Heartily thanking you for the lively interest you have so kindly taken in this matter, I am, dear Sir, with much respect,

Yours sincerely,
Mother M. Edward, Sup. Gen.
