I received this morning the following Telegram –

“Bravo Rome sustains you – therefore keep Status quo”, that is, everything as it was three years ago under your direction here and there.

You may be sure I am anxious to hear more about it. His Grace must have got a letter from Rome or he never would have sent the dispatch –
