Sister Mary of the Annunciation (Alicia McDonagh) was called to her eternal reward in the midst of the Christmas rejoicings on January 4, 1937.
From the time of her entrance into religion Sister devoted herself to the love and service of her Divine Master, recognizing His will in all appointments, to her trials and difficulties as well as in her consolations.
After her profession she was engaged in the different works of the Institute. She spent some years in the missions of Belleville, Perth, Chesterville and St. Mary’s of the Lake. As Superior, she was appointed for a term in each of the last two houses.
Sister had been in failing health for several years, so her death was not unexpected.
The late Reverend W. McDonagh of the Kingston diocese was her brother, and Sister M. William a niece.
